Yesterday was our bi-annual Worldwide Day of Prayer. I have separate thoughts about that day, but we heard a report from our director for that area of the world who shared that our staff and volunteers are accounted for and are okay. Yea. However, they are sleeping in the open air like so many other Nepalese not trusting the buildings that still stand will survive the aftershocks. Jose, our director (and my roommate at our last Global Leadership Conference) invited us to ask God how we might each participate in helping our staff and volunteers survive today and rebuild for tomorrows. We have an account setup for staff to transfer money to and our Cru leadership said they will take operational money and match whatever the staff give. Cool.
I know you may be asking God what you might do. If giving is part of his response to your prayer consider giving through our Good Deeds ministry called Gain (A ministry of Cru). They work at mixing good deeds with the Good News. They are inviting others to join them in responding at the following link.
