This is always a fun day for Americans. Today we celebrate 236 years since we declared independence. The declaration has this famous sentence:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
I love that sentence, however, I would make one change to it and that is with the last word. I wish it said "...life liberty and the pursuit of holiness." I believe that would be more true to our intended design. What do you think?
Changing the subject, but still in the vein of celebrating we started our 4th early early. The whole family rose to run in a fun run called the Watermelon Run. Well I arose, but I did not run. I wish I could, but my back will not handle that movement anymore, so I ride (a recumbent bike). This morning I took pictures instead, which I really enjoy. Here are some photos from our morning.
