I am working with kids this week on a lesson that include memorizing a verse in 1 Chronicles. It is chapter 29 verses 11-12. As I have worked on it myself, committing it to memory and meditating on its meaning, I have thought that it is the perfect verse for this time. With the economics of our nation and even world on our minds, and an important election a month away, this verse lends the perspective I need to remember to have. It encourages me and when I consider what it means it gives me peace. How about you?  1 Chronicles 29:11-12 (New Living Translation)
11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. 12 Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.
